Washington DC

Well, I LOVE Washington DC!! It was the most amazing, beautiful city EVER! There was grass, trees, flowers, and people who SMILE! We went to so many amazing and historical places the 2 days we were there, not to mention a few non historical bars and pubs :) Not to forget the many toilets and porta pottys DC has to offer. A word of wisdom to anyone planning a visit...
1. Wear layers.
2. Buy and umbrella BEFORE it rains.
3. Don't take the damn double decker bus that only comes around every hour, because there are ones that come around every 15 minutes. We were not aware.
4. Sunscreen.
5. Comfy shoes.

The bars in Georgetown were pretty fun, however, there was some kind of national police officer convention, or something there, so there were 9 billion cops. Fun. Next time, we'll look at the national schedule of events, lol. We made the best of it, did some booty shaking and survived.  So, we made it home in back to the hotel in Georgetown, slept for a few hours, got ready, and were off to a nice day of being tourists. We saw almost everything in 1 day. By the end of the day, we were smelly, rained on, sunburnt with the worst tan lines EVER, and almost needed feet amputations. However, we powered on and made it out. Again.

We went to a town called Adam's Morgan, and were the only people out. for the most part. You'll notice the love connection in the background of this picture. Welcome to Adams Morgan.

That's Lexie using the National Police Offer Convention porta pottys as soon as we got af the slow double decker bus.

This is why you need to dress in layers. Lincon Memorial.

The White House, complete with secret service people on the roof. And a homeless people festival directly behind us while we were taking pics.

Arlington Cemetery. So beautiful and peaceful.

The Washington Monument. Notice the 2 different colored bicks. Google it.

All and all it was a great trip with great company. Can't wait to go again!!!
