It's been too long!

Ok! Just a disclaimer: I've worked the last 3 nights and am still up waiting on laundry, so sorry for the typos and poor grammer :) Let me think. We've been super busy working our 4 days a week, so I want to appologize for taking so long on posting pictures. We've been going to Manhattan a lot on our days off and I found my new favorite place! Battery Park!! Its around the Financial District and it is like the only place with grass in NYC :) and you can walk to the harbor and see the Statue of Liberty. There is also home of "The Sphere" which was outside the World Trade Center September 11, 2001 and was damaged there. So many amazing statues and monuments around that place!!

Well, one Monday, Lexie and I decided to go to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. After a long subway ride and scary walk on Brooklyn's Flatbush Ave., we were finally there. And much to our dismay, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens are CLOSED every Mondays. So, the nice security man let us in for one pic and felt bad for us okies and gave us free passes to the Cherry Blossom Festival this year. Thank you kind sir!! Then we were looking for the subway and found the Brooklyn Zoo. We went there for all of an hour because it is the smallest zoo on earth, eventually found the subway station, and then went to Grimaldi's Pizzeria under the Brooklyn Bridge. And OMG it was good! Nextwe just went to a few pubs, and then home for the night so we could be back at it the next morning.

So the next day was raining pretty hard, so we decided to go to the Guggenheim, as did 9 billion other people and their kids because it was Spring Break. Needless to say, this was the only pic we took. So we just wandered around on a mission to find raincoats, crackle nail polish, and the Whole Foods.  All and all, a good and long day!

A museum we never saw because it was Spring Break

                                                     Damn NY rain!

Hoboken, NJ

On a spur of the moment, we went to Hoboken,NJ, which is the home of Carlo's Bakery!!! After waiting in line for 2 hours, we FINALLY got to purchase some of the best baked goods ever created. Between the three of us we had cannolis, an apple crumb pie, brownies, carrot cake cupcakes, red velvet cupcakes, and biscotti. And it all was so amazing!!!

Our spread

Carlos Bakery finally!

Look at those mini cakes!

Then we went to Benny Tudino's Pizzeria and the pizza there was so good! The portions were HUGE and the prices were super cheap. The pic below is of a whole pizza, we just purchased it by the slice, thankfully :)
Just a regular pizza here
